Okay, so we haven't really posted in a LOOOOONG time. We've had a few things going on. We're back on track - look for more posts on a more regular basis now. The latest entries may be a scrambled, date-wise, but we wanted to share them anyway.
Let's see - recent highlights....
Jackson lost his first tooth and learned to ride a bike.
Delaney recently reminded me as I was getting into the car, "Mommy, don't forget to buckle up the princess." (in third-person reference to herself.)
The current child in my belly sometimes makes me nauseous, he's wiggles and flips so much.
Nate finished the Test Pilot School and will actually be home some now. We're all really glad.
Did I tell you that Jackson will sometimes try to cheer up a crying Delaney by saying, "What's wrong Chicken Little?" We don't know where that came from!
Anyway, we'll be doing a better job of keeping this blog a bit more updated. You really could check it occasionally and find updates. Thanks! The Cooks

Cake Class
My dear friend and former neighbor, Tracy, is teaching a cake class and I, of course, am taking it. Here's my first attempt. I included every technique we learned this week. Pay no attention to the cake crumbs in the icing - I'll be working on that the next few weeks too. The class has been fun and the family is very excited about cakes every week. Delaney is confused that its not someone's birthday.
Riding without training wheels
This last weekend, Jackson figured it out! Look at the joy on his face - he was so excited. He wiped out multiple times (I guess it's good he insisted on wearing all elbow and knee pads available in the house), but got up and tried again every time. Next, we have to teach him to ride with his tongue not between his teeth.
Cuties in a box
We've run out of money for plane tickets, but if you receive a large box COD, please accept. Actually, this is Jackson and Delaney in the "rocket ship" blasting off to parts unknown or maybe Pluto. (Which, Jackson will tell you is not a planet, but a dwarf planet. It's important to keep some facts straight.)
