The cacti were participating in the "Pink Lady" theme!

Every year, the female descendents of Miss Mamie Lou Fowler celebrate her spirit with a Pink Lady party. Pink was Mamie's favorite color. She only wore pants once in her life, near as anyone can tell. That was on a short fishing trip, which nobody believes she enjoyed very much. If there was an article of clothing or bedding within 100 yards of Mamie, it was only a matter of time before it was ironed and folded. When asked how she made her amazing biscuits, she'd reply with an answer like, "Let it bake in the wood-fired stove for as long as it takes to sweep the porch." :)

Can you believe these folks are classified as "senior citizens"?!? 

Grandma Jackie and Papa were here for almost 4 weeks, a Godsend! Here they are with Delaney on Mother's Day. You can see Jackson in the background, not having his picture taken. 

Another thing that happened in May was that Delaney had more and more "alert times", where her eyes are actually open! :)
