Here's the proud Daddy. He worked hard - making the pirate ship, twisting balloon swords, serving food, and keeping Delaney safe from all the little pirates.

Here's Jackson blowing out the candles on his 4-year old cake. We made a pirate island cake, complete with little pirate guarding the treasure chest.

They were hungry little pirates. We fed them well before we sent them on a treasure hunt!

For Jackson's birthday party, we were overrun with little pirates. They got thier pirate uniforms on, made treasure chests and played in their ship. In this picture, Jackson has just walked the plank into the dangerous, shark-infested waters. His friend, Tyler, is ensuring that he doesn't try to climb back up the "plank". 

Birthday Boy

Jackson's actual birthday fell in the middle of the week, so we went bowling with some friends at lunch that day (so Daddy could come too) and then that night we let him open his family presents. I love the look of joy/anticipation on his face as he opens his first present.
